Suspect Identified and Arrested in the Theft of Camp Instruments and Other Equipment

LOCATION: 300 Block of S. Thousand Pines Road in the community of Crestline
SUSPECT(S): Patrick Stoops, 38-year-old resident of Valley of Enchantment
VICTIM(S): Multiple victims in the Crestline area
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's Twin Peaks Station conducted a burglary investigation at a camp in the community of Crestline, in which the suspect stole several musical instruments and various equipment. The burglary was captured on video surveillance cameras.
On Friday, July 29, 2022, deputies were assisted in their investigation by witnesses who were able to provide additional photographs and information which assisted in suspect identification.
On Sunday, July 31, 2022, deputies served a search warrant at Patrick Stoops' residence in the community of Valley of Enchantment. At the conclusion of the search warrant, stolen property was recovered and Stoops was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property.
