Update:
PG&E is on scene actively assessing the extent of any fire damage or threat to power disruption. There are no longer active flames, but the Fire Department will remain on scene to cool hot spots.
Westbound Hwy 12 is open. Eastbound remains closed as do other reported closures. Visibility is extremely poor due to smoke.
Original Information:
There are reports of a grass field fire at Eastbound Hwy 12 and Beck Ave, moving east. The Fairfield Fire and Police departments are on scene. East and West Hwy 12 is currently closed between Beck Ave and Pennsylvania Ave. South Bound Pennsylvania Avenue traffic will be diverted to westbound Warner Avenue and eastbound Broadway.
Westbound Hwy 12 traffic from Suisun City will be diverted northbound via Jackson Street into Fairfield.
Westbound traffic is encouraged to continue west on Woolner Ave and West Texas St.
Northbound Pennsylvania Ave traffic at Cordelia Rd is also closed.
