On Tuesday, July 24, 2022 at approximately 2018 hours, Readington Township Police stopped a vehicle for not exhibiting the front license plate.  The vehicle was operated by Somer Stephenson (45) of Califon, NJ.  A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded  Controlled Dangerous Substance. Stephenson was charged with Possession of CDS , Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Motor Vehicle in Possession of CDS, and Failure to display a front license plate.  Stephenson was released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of charges is a merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
