South Brunswick Township's National Night Out 2022 celebration was last night, and it was declared a huge success by all!

The weather, although hot in the beginning, was clear and bright, and it cooled off enough to allow attendees to wander through displays of police units, fire department and EMS displays, games, rides, bounce houses, and community offerings, all while enjoying free hot dogs, chips, ice cream, popcorn, soda, water, and ice pops. 

A display by the FBI intrigued many, and stands representing Public Works, the Special Needs Registry, and some local businesses who sponsored the event kept people busy for hours.

The police department took the crown in a tug-of-war competition against fire department and EMS personnel, but were quickly defeated by communiity members eager to test their strength.

In all, we estimate a crowd of approximately 6600 attendees.
Nearly 3000 hot dogs were eaten, along with over 3000 drinks, 2400 ice creams and ice pops, and thousands of game prizes distributed.

We would like to thank our community for coming out to spend the evening with our police department!
