On Wednesday, August 03, 2022 at approximately 1050 hours, the manager of a local business contacted the Readington Police to file a theft report.  Upon arrival, the manager informed patrol that an employee stole approximately $300.  Patrol made contact with the employee and identified him as James Corbett (18) of Flemington, NJ.  Corbett admitted to the theft, so he was arrested and charged accordingly. Corbett was released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of charges is a merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
