* Until 445 AM CDT.

* At 1253 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wildwood, Festus, Eureka, Chester, Pevely, Crystal City, Ste. Genevieve, Fenton, Red Bud, Herculaneum, Byrnes Mill, Barnhart, Murphy, High Ridge, Bremen, Steeleville, Evansville, Bloomsdale, Baldwin and St. Mary. This includes the following State Parks... Route 66 State Park, Felix Valle House State Park, Sandy Creek Covered Bridge Historic Site and Gov. Dunklin's Grave Historic Site. This includes the following highways... Interstate 44 in Missouri between exits 264 and 269. Interstate 55 in Missouri between exits 141 and 180.
