The Wilkinsburg Borough Council voted unanimously at its August 3, 2022 meeting to endorse efforts by a coalition of elected representatives and community organizations to promote Medicare for All and similar health reforms.
The Coalition will host an event to educate the public on single-payer health care reform on Thursday, August 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Wilkinsburg Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Borough Building at 605 Ross Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA. The meeting will also be accessible via Zoom.
The event is being organized and hosted by a coalition of elected representatives and community leaders. Coalition members include: Pennsylvania State Representative Summer Lee, Allegheny County representatives Anita Prizio, Bethany Hallum, and Liv Bennet, The Christian Alliance for Peace, the Allegheny Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program, and the Western Pennsylvania Coalition for a Single Payer Healthcare.
