* Until 245 PM MDT.
* At 215 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 15 miles north of Townsend to 19 miles east of Toston, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... White Sulphur Springs, Checkerboard, Newlan Creek Reservoir, Fort Logan, Lennep and Ringling.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BROADWATER, MT ... GALLATIN, MT ... MEAGHER, MT
Instructions:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Canyon Ferry Lake, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph have already occurred on the south end of the lake. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
