Reckless Driving Leads to Confrontation and Assault; Two Female Suspects Arrested

DATE/TIME: Friday, July 29, 2022 / 3:35 p.m. 

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threats, Vandalism 

LOCATION: 22000 block of State Hwy 18, in the Town of Apple Valley
                    
SUSPECT(S): Rashinae Yeargin, a 24-year-old resident of El Cajon
Kurshawanna Price, a 26-year-old resident of Chino 

VICTIM(S): Female Adult

SUMMARY:  On Friday, July 29, 2022, at approximately 3:35 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a report of subjects fighting at the intersection of State Hwy 18 and Central Road, in Apple Valley. According to the reporting party, two vehicles were stopped in the roadway, and several subjects were fighting. As deputies responded, numerous callers reported the parties were now at a parking lot in the 22000 block of State Hwy 18.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the subjects and learned the altercation started over Kurshawanna Price's reckless driving and escalated when both vehicles were stopped at the red light. Price and her passenger, Rashinae Yeargin, exited the vehicle, throwing a cellphone and trash at the victim's car window. When the victim left the location, Price and Yeargin followed her to a nearby gas station and punched her several times. Price threatened the victim with a knife, and Yeargin threatened to hit her with a bottle. Both Yeargin and Price were arrested at the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Yeargin was transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Price was transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Criminal Threats and Vandalism.
