SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 6, 2022, San Bernardino County Sheriff's OHV team will conduct a multi-agency enforcement operation around the Big Bear Valley.
The U.S. Forest in Big Bear is shared by hikers, bikers, motorized vehicles, equestrians, and native animals. In an ongoing effort to ensure safe and sustainable recreation in our mountain community, the off-highway vehicle enforcement team will patrol areas of the forest that are frequently used by off-road enthusiasts. Each team will consist of OHV trained personnel from several different participating agencies.
This operation will focus on enforcing state and federal safety violations, encourage and educate riders how and where to safely operate OHV's, assist the homeless with appropriate resources, and contact individuals participating in OHV activies in target areas.
