Wilmington Police have arrested a juvenile on gun charges.

On August 3 at approximately 11:34 a.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 800 block of North Tatnall Street when they attempted to make contact with a 14-year-old male juvenile.  The 14-year-old fled on foot into a nearby building but was quickly taken into custody without incident.  Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun that was reported stolen. 

The 14-year-old was charged with the following offenses:

• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
• Receiving a Stolen Firearm
• Resisting Arrest
• Criminal Trespassing 2^nd Degree
