* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval and Santa Fe.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 141 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Los Alamos, White Rock, Bandelier National Monument, Frijoles and San Ildefonso Pueblo. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the northern portion of the Cerro Pelado fire burn area.
