* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana, including the following areas, in northeast Illinois, Cook and Will. In northwest Indiana, Lake IN.

* WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Flooding of roadways. Quick rises on area rivers and streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1119 AM CDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chatham, Joliet, Hammond, Gary, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Calumet City, Merrillville, Chicago Heights, Roseland, South Shore, East Chicago, Schererville, Hobart, Lansing, Oak Forest, Harvey, Lockport and New Lenox. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
