Flood Advisory until 07:00PM Sunday

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, Rio Arriba and Taos.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 443 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow-moving thunderstorms in the area around Rancho de Taos, Pilar and Penasco. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.75 inches of rain have fallen over parts of the area, especially the Picuris Mountains. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pilar, Penasco, Dixon, Embudo, Velarde, Picuris Pueblo, Rio Lucio, Chamisal, Vadito, Rodarte, Llano, Llano Largo and Rinconada. - This includes the following highways... State Road 518 between Mile Markers 57 and 65, State Roads 68, 75, and 570, Forest Road 469, and County Road 110. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
