Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

On August 4 at approximately 3:02 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Beech Street.  Police made contact with 44-year-old Elton Chandler.  Police recovered a loaded .22 caliber rifle, a loaded 9mm handgun, a 9mm rifle, 3,230 grams of marijuana, $7,343 in currency, and drug paraphernalia.  Police took Chandler into custody without incident. 

Chandler was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (2 counts)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
• Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
• Possession of a Firearm while also in Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
