On August 06, 2022 (Saturday), at approximately 4:30p.m., personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a three-vehicle collision on Palmdale Blvd. just west of 55th St. East, which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.
 
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 4:30p.m. on August 06, 2022, a 2020 Mercedes 250 was driving northbound on 55^th Street East and made a left turn onto westbound Palmdale Boulevard. The driver of a 2000 Nissan Maxima was driving westbound on Palmdale Boulevard and collided into the back of the Mercedes. The Maxima veered into the opposing traffic lane and was struck by a Mazda CX9, driving eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard.  The driver of the Nissan Maxima was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Mazda and multiple occupants of the CX9 and the Maxima were airlifted to area hospitals with critical injuries.
