Flood Advisory until 12:45PM Wednesday
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Including the following areas, Small streams and rivers draining the Talkeetna Mountains including Willow Creek, Little Susitna River, Montana Creek, Sheep Creek and the Kashwitna River.
* WHEN...Until 1245 PM AKDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1035 AM AKDT, 4 to 6 inches of rain have fallen in the Talkeetna Mountains since Sunday evening. Light rain is expected to continue to day with an additional 0.5 to 1 inch possible through tonight in the Talkeetna Mountains. Willow Creek, Little Susitna River and Moose Creek have all risen above minor flood stage overnight. Flooding of local roads has been reported near Willow Creek and the Little Susitna River. Roads that have been reported as closed or with water over them include West Shrock Road, Sitze Road, Moose Meadow Road and Shorty Drive near the Little Susitna River and numerous roads near Willow Creek reported as closed or overtopped including North Burrow Street and West River Air Drive near Willow Creek. Water levels on the Little Susitna River and Willow Creek are still rising slowly at the Parks Highway and are expected to crest this afternoon into this evening. Additional areas of minor flooding are possible today. The Kashwitna River, Talkeetna River and Susitna River have risen overnight to near bankfull conditions and have crested or are receding with no flooding expected along those rivers. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
