Notice to our Residents and Businesses: Statewide Drought Watch
The New Jersey Commissioner of Environmental Protection issued a statewide drought watch as of August 9, 2022, and the Murphy Administration is urging residents and businesses to conserve water as persistent dry and hot conditions continue to stress water supplies throughout the state.
If conditions do not improve, declaration of a drought warning or a drought emergency with mandatory water use restrictions may become necessary.
The Borough urges our residents and businesses to conserve water wherever possible. Voluntary conservation measures at the drought watch stage can help avoid more serious and restrictive drought conditions. Landscape irrigation makes up a large part of water consumption during the summer months of the year. By following good practices, we can make our community a more sustainable place to live.
Please follow the Borough’s watering schedule restrictions Memorial Day through Labor Day unless otherwise directed.
