Location: St. Francis Drive and Caulfield Lane, Petaluma
Suspects: Suspect 1: Unknown race male adult, 200 pounds, 5’8” tall, wearing dark clothing and was associated with a dark colored sedan.
On 08/09/2022 at approximately 9:08 PM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a victim stating that he had just been robbed at gun point. He further advised the suspect had assaulted him and had sustained some minor injuries.
Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the victim who had wounds to his face. The Petaluma Fire Department was requested to respond to the scene to treat the victim for his injuries. The victim was ultimately transported to the hospital with minor injuries by Paramedics for further treatment.
During the investigation, it was learned that the victim was walking on St. Francis Drive near Caulfield Lane and was approached by one male subject. The suspect approached the victim from behind and pushed him against a wall where he pressed a suspected firearm to his back. The suspect demanded the victim hand over his wallet and cell phone. Shortly after the victim was struck in the face with a metal object, which appeared to be a firearm.
After striking the victim, the suspect took the victim’s property and ran to a nearby dark colored sedan and fled the area towards Caulfield Lane. The suspect was described as an unknown race male, that weighed approximately 200 pounds, was 5’8” tall and was wearing dark clothing.
