Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on gun and drug charges.

On August 5 at approximately 3:53 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 800 block of West 4^th Street when they observed 20-year-old Tahlir Wright.  Police were aware that Wright had an outstanding capias for his arrest and took him into custody without incident.  Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 64 grams of marijuana.

Wright was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding capias:

• Possession of an Untraceable Firearm
• Possession of a Firearm while also in Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Destructive Weapon
• Possession of Marijuana
