ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Tanner was processed at Amsterdam Police Headquarters where she was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Amsterdam City Court on a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On August 4th at approximately 10:30 a.m. Amsterdam Police were notified of a stolen credit card that was used at a local business in the Riverfront Center mall. A patrol officer and detective responded to the business where the credit card was used and video footage of the crime was obtained using nearby surveillance sources. Through further investigation the suspect was identified as Jacquinn Tanner by multiple sources. On 8/9/2022 Tanner arrived and was interviewed at police headquarters and during that interview she admitted to using the stolen credit card at the local business. Tanner was then taken into custody and processed on the above charge. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
While there is probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
