The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... East central Frederick County in northwestern Virginia... Clarke County in northwestern Virginia... Jefferson County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... South central Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia...

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 238 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Inwood, or 8 miles west of Charles Town, and is drifting east. HAZARD...Localized 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include... Charles Town, Ranson, Berryville, Inwood, Corporation Of Ranson, Middleway, Brucetown, Greenwood, Gaylord, Clear Brook, Ridgeway, Bunker Hill, Briggs, Halltown, Stephenson, Wickliffe, Wadesville, Summit Point and Cedar Hill.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CLARKE, VA ... FREDERICK, VA ... BERKELEY, WV ... JEFFERSON, WV
