Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Cold Spring Harbor tonight.
 
David Kashetta, 40, of Lloyd Harbor, was operating a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Shore Road, near Main Street, when he struck a female pedestrian at approximately 6:15 p.m. The pedestrian of Cold Spring Harbor was transported to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Kashetta, was not injured.
 
The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of her family.
 
Second Squad detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call 631-854-8252.
