Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
Deputies from Compton Station responded to the 800 block of Alondra Boulevard in the city of Compton regarding a gunshot victim call.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2022 at approximately 10:32 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim, a Black male, 30 to 35 years of age, unresponsive lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles County Fire Department for further medical treatment and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time and the murder weapon remains outstanding.
It is unknown if the shooting is gang related.
