Speed Awareness Week: August 14 - 21

In 2021, over one-third (35%) of all traffic fatalities in New York were caused by speeding. 389 people lost their lives and 2,256 people suffered serious injuries in these preventable collisions. Speeding endangers not only the life of the speeder, but all people on the road around them. Proactive, equitable law enforcement is a primary weapon in curbing this deadly behavior.
