INCIDENT: Possesion of Stolen Property
LOCATION: 55000 Block of Willow Lane, Landers, CA
SUSPECT(S): Bodie Rosson, 44-year-old male resident of Landers, CA
VICTIM(S): 48-year-old male resident of Wonder Valley, CA.
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 7, 2022, at approximately 1:00 p.m, deputies responded to a report of a theft. The victim reported about $40,000 worth of property, including farming equipment, was stolen.
During the theft investigation, deputies identified Bodie Rosson as the primary suspect and served a search warrant near the 55000 block of Willow Lane, in the unincorporated community of Landers. During the service of the search warrant, deputies recovered stolen property belonging to the victim, in addition to ballistic body armor, ammunition, firearm, and narcotics.
Rosson is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms, ammunition or ballistic body armor. Rosson was arrested and booked at Morongo Basin Jail for PC 30305(a)(1) - Felon in Possession of Ammunition, PC 29800(a)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 496(a) - Possession of Stolen Property, and PC 31360(a) - Felon in Possession of Body Armor. Bail was set at $50,000.
