INCIDENT: Major Accident Investigation
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road and Seventh Avenue, Victorville
SUMMARY: On Friday, August 12, 2022, at about 10:57 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department, along with rescue personnel from Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a vehicle vs motorcycle crash in the area of Bear Valley Road and Seventh Avenue in Victorville. Deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene and saw the driver of the motorcycle on the ground.
Through investigation, deputies determined the driver of a Silver Fiat 500L made a left turn from Bear Valley Road into a shopping center parking lot. The driver of a white Suzuki GSX-R600L9 drove west on Bear Valley Road, striking the rear passenger door of the Fiat. The driver of the Suzuki was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at Desert Valley Medical Center.
Deputies with the Victorville Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
