INCIDENT: Road Hazard/Closure Due to Mud Slides
LOCATION: Valley of the Falls Drive, Forest Falls
SUMMARY: On August 13, 2022, areas of Valley of the Falls Drive, in Forest Falls, were closed due to mud slides. As of 6:30 p.m., road crews are working to open the area of Snow Creek. This work is expected to be complete at approximately 7:00 p.m. Road crews are expected to have the Slide Creek area open for traffic by 9:00 p.m.
Deputies with the Sheriff’s Yucaipa Station and Aviation/Emergency Operations Division are monitoring the situation and are in contact with residents and citizens in the affected areas. Anyone in the area in need of non-emergency assistance should contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (909) 356-9652. In the case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
