Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Bolling Drive

On August 13th, 2022 at 6:50pm, Novato Police Officers were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision on Bolling Drive, near the intersection of Marin Valley Drive. The first officer who arrived at the scene located a pedestrian who had apparently been struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Bolling Drive.

Personnel from the Novato Fire Protection District responded to the scene to render aid to the pedestrian resulting in immediate transport to a trauma facility.  Currently, the pedestrian is still being treated for major injuries sustained from the collision.

During the investigation, officers learned that a 70-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while walking across Bolling Drive. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Based on the initial investigation, it does not appear that alcohol and drugs were a factor in the collision.

Members of the Novato Police Department Traffic Section along with Crime Scene Investigators, responded to the scene and took over the investigation, which is on-going. The pedestrian’s identity will not be released at this time.

Bolling Drive was closed for approximately four hours while the collision scene was processed. Anyone with information regarding this collision is encouraged to call the Novato Police Department at 415-897-4361.
