Wilmington Police make arrest in connection with April 15 shooting incident: 
Wilmington Police have charged a man in connection with an April 15 shooting incident.
On April 15 at approximately 1:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the 800 block of East 22nd Street in reference to a shooting that had occurred. Police located a 17-year-old male gunshot victim who arrived at the hospital in stable condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Shea of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Shea identified 19-year-old Tyquan Vaughn as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest.
Vaughn was taken into custody without incident on August 13, and has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (First Degree)
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $102,000 cash-only bail.
