Two Pomona Residents Arrested After Stealing Packages from a Residence in Yucaipa

LOCATION: 12900 Block of Bryant St, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Rudy Ramirez, 36-year-old, Resident of Pomona
Wendy Arbaiza, 21-year-old Resident of Pomona
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 14, 2022, at approximately 2:23 p.m., deputies with the Yucaipa Police Department were notified of two subjects walking northbound on Bryant Street, carrying two large Amazon Boxes. Deputies responded to the area and contacted Rudy Ramirez and Wendy Arbaiza. Ramirez was on Parole for robbery and probation for theft. Arbaiza had a felony warrant for her arrest for theft.
Deputies Moss and Gray conducted the investigation and found the Amazon boxes had been stolen from a residence on Third Street, in the city of Yucaipa. The victim was contacted and did not know Ramirez or Arbaiza and did not give them permission to possess his property. The victim estimated the value of the stolen items to be six hundred dollars.
Ramirez and Arbaiza were both arrested for possession of known stolen property and transported to the Central Detention Center for booking.
