Alert

Republic officials report progress on trash collection in Medford but additional delays are expected.

Republic officials have reported that they have made progress picking up areas of Medford that have not received trash collection in more than a week.  They have reported that a large portion of Thursdays regular collection routes have been completed with the exception of areas along Atsion Road between Olde Mill Run and Evergreen Drive.  In addition, most neighborhoods off of Dixontown Road and Tabernacle Road are complete including McKendimen Road, Bear Head Road, and Tin House Road.

Neighborhoods and areas that were missed on Friday were completed today in their entirety.  Areas that will be completed tomorrow include Headwater Village, Cardinal Ridge, and Oak Knoll.  Additionally, areas not collected today including neighborhoods off of Hartford Road, between Church Road and Route 70 will also be completed tomorrow.

One truck will begin Tuedays regular collection route starting in Hoot Owl.  Once the other two trucks have finished Thursdays incomplete route and the remaining areas of Mondays route, they will move into the regular Tuesday routes in an effort to complete as much as possible.  It is likely that some of Tuesdays routes will be incomplete by the end of the day including parts of Birchwood Lakes,Cranberry Lakes, and Deerbrook.

Any portions of Tuesdays routes left incomplete will be collected on Wednesday.  We ask affected residents to leave their carts curbside until they are serviced.  If you experience a missed collection in an area not outlined above, please contact the Department of Neighborhood Services at 609-654-6791.  Township officials are aware of the delays in collection and are exploring options to help prevent this type of delay in the future.  Further updates will be provided as we receive updates from Republic officials.  We appreciate your patience as we work through this temporary delay.

Instructions:

We ask affected residents to leave their carts curbside until they are serviced.  If you experience a missed collection in an area not outlined above, please contact the Department of Neighborhood Services at 609-654-6791.
