Green Bay Police Announces Community Speed Watch
Community Speed Watch
The Green Bay Police Department is partnering with Green Bay Neighborhood Associations to address speeding concerns in the City of Green Bay. Community Speed Watch will use trained volunteers from Neighborhood Associations to observe and report speed violations. The information will be used by the Traffic Enforcement Unit to address specific problem areas for further traffic enforcement. If the information gathered shows a violation, the registered owner of the vehicle will receive a courtesy notification letter. The letter will contain the time/date of observation, recorded speed and the speed limit at the location of the violation. We hope through this partnership to bring more awareness to the issue of speeding to make Green Bay neighborhoods and streets safer for all.
For more information, contact Lt Nate Allen or Lt Steve Mahoney with the Community Police Unit at (920) 448-3208.
