Flood Advisory until 04:30PM

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, Rio Arriba and Santa Fe.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 236 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pojoaque, Pojoaque Pueblo, El Rancho, San Ildefonso Pueblo, Jacona, Jaconita and Cuyamungue. - This includes the following low water crossings... County Road 84, East Feather Catcher, Feather Road and Old Callejon Road. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
