Deputies Locate Suspect Who Stole Vehicle and Later Abandoned it

LOCATION: 15000 Block of First Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Caesar Marquez, 36-year-old male transient of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Confidential male resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at approximately 7:01 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to a vehicle theft that just occurred at a residence in the 15000 block of First Street in Victorville.
While enroute, the victim provided additional information leading deputies to the area of Sixth Street and E Street in Victorville where the suspect parked the vehicle and fled on foot towards the riverbed. Deputies arrived on scene and located the suspect, later identified as Caesar Marquez, a 36-year-old male transient of Victorville.
Deputies detained and arrested Marquez. He was transported and booked at High Desert Detention Center for Grand Theft Auto (FELONY), and Criminal Threats with the Intent to Terrorize (FELONY). The vehicle was recovered and released to the victim.
