INCIDENT: CVC 20002 - Hit and Run
LOCATION: 1600 Block of Washington Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Shane Lacy, 43-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at approximately 11:54 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of a hit and run in the 1600 block of Washington Street. The suspect fled the scene in his vehicle after he sideswiped two parked vehicles causing damage to both cars.
Through evidence at the scene and several witnesses, the suspect vehicle was identified as possibly being a white Hyundai.
Through investigation, deputies identified a white Hyundai Elantra as the suspect vehicle involved in the hit and run and identified Shane Lacy as the driver of the vehicle.
Lacy was subsequently arrested for CVC 20002- Hit and Run. Lacy was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, with a future court date.
