Advisory

** Warning ** Numerous bear sightings in the Princeton Area

There have been numerous bear sightings in the Princeton Area. The areas around Canal Point Blvd and the canal should be very alert. Especially when walking or letting out small dogs. Small dogs should not be left out alone as it can put them in extreme danger.
As the weather becomes warmer, the New Jersey black bear population becomes active. They are attracted to the smell of garbage, so properly securing your garbage is the best way to prevent bears from becoming a nuisance. Most importantly, if you see a bear DON'T APPROACH IT. DON'T APPROACH IT. DON'T APPROACH IT. DON'T APPROACH IT. DON'T APPROACH IT. DON'T APPROACH IT.
