* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of... Beaufort County in southeastern South Carolina... Colleton County in southeastern South Carolina... Jasper County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 715 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Old House to Lemon Island to Bluffton, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include: Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, Port Royal, Bellinger Hill Area, Clarendon, Bennetts Point, Coosawhatchie, Gardens Corner, Rose Hill, Burton, Pritchardville, Ladys Island, Parris Island and Folly Field. This warning includes I-95 in South Carolina between mile markers 29 and 30.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BEAUFORT, SC ... COLLETON, SC ... JASPER, SC

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. If this is not possible, avoid open outdoor spaces and remain low. Stay away from tall objects such as trees and utility poles. Report damage directly to the Charleston National Weather Service at 888-383-2024 when it is safe to do so.
