In the early morning hours of August 20, Simi Valley Police Department officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of E. Los Angeles Ave for a report of two subjects fighting.  Officers were also advised that one of the subjects had a handgun with an extended magazine.

When officers arrived on scene, they contacted Jack Richards, a 20 year-old Simi Valley resident.  Officers also located a loaded, un-serialized handgun with a high capacity magazine.  Richards was arrested and booked at Ventura Main Jail for possession of an un-serialized firearm, possession of a high capacity magazine, and unlawful possession of a concealable firearm.
