On August 20th, 2022, at approximately 11:12 am, deputies from the Camarillo Police Department responded to the intersection of Santa Rosa Road and Woodcreek Road for a vehicle versus motorcycle traffic collision.
A motorcycle was traveling westbound on Santa Rosa Road approaching the Woodcreek Road intersection. As the motorcycle entered the intersection it collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Santa Rosa Road, which was trying to make a left-hand turn. The collision caused serious injuries to the motorcyclist. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, evaluated the motorcyclist, and transported him to a nearby hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The motorcyclist is currently in serious, but stable condition.
The collision is still under investigation by the Camarillo Police Department Traffic Bureau. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Camarillo Police Department at (805) 388-5100.
