Important info about the flash flooding.

Lauderdale County is under a Flash Flood Watch. We have seen a tremendous amount of rain in our area and will continue to see more rain throughout the day. We are seeing some areas that are experiencing flooding at this time and impacting homes and roads. Please drive safe and slow and dont drive across water flowing over a road. TURN AROUND DONT DROWN. If you see a road that is flooding or you are experiencing flooding, call the LAUDERDALE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE at 601-482-9852
LEMA is the Emergency Management for the entire County that includes the Town of Marion and the City of Meridian. Please call our office with any flooding information.
We can also see numerous trees falling during this event. Some of those trees may fall on power lines as well. Continue to be safe and weather aware during this time. Any emergencies should be called into 911 and non emergency information too 601-482-9852
