Flash Flood Warning until 05:00PM Wednesday

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... North Central San Diego County in southwestern California...

* Until 500 PM PDT.

* At 150 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. A storm spotter just northwest of Julian off of Highway 78 recorded a half an inch of rain in just 15 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Julian, Hwy 78 Between Banner And S2, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, Hwy S2 Between Hwy 79 And Hwy 78, Ranchita, Hwy 79 Between Santa Ysabel And Warner Springs, Hwy 79 Between Julian And Lake Cuyamaca, Warner Springs, Hwy S22 Between Ranchita And Borrego Springs and Lake Cuyamaca.
