Flood Advisory until 06:00PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following county, Montezuma.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 258 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lewis and Lebanon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONTEZUMA, CO

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
