Full Notification

On August 22, 2022, at 12:10pm, a Morgan Hill Police Officer on routine patrol located a suspicious vehicle parked at Community Park.  The officer contacted the occupant, who identified himself as Bryan Gamboa, 18, from Morgan Hill.  A records check revealed Gamboa was on searchable probation from Santa Clara County.  During a probation search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded 9mm handgun concealed in the passenger compartment.  Based on Gamboa’s probation status, officers responded to his residence and conducted a search of the residence, where a rifle and a shotgun were located.
 
Gamboa was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Main Jail on the following charges:  P.C. 25400(a)(1) – Carry concealed weapon in vehicle; P.C. 25850(a) – Carry loaded firearm; P.C. 29800(a) – Felon in possession of a firearm; P.C. 30305(a)(1) – Felon in possession of ammunition and P.C. 1203.2 – Violation of Probation.
