Free class teaches keeping your family safe before, during, and after a disaster such as a tornado.
Sign up now for our next session of the free educational program Basic Community Emergency Response Team, beginning on September 6th! Severe weather like a tornado could happen with little notice and most people are not prepared. Are you prepared?
This fun, free, hands-on, 8-session course, teaches residents what they should do to be prepared for a disaster, what they should do to protect themselves and their families during a disaster, and what they can do to help themselves, their families, and their neighbors immediately after a disaster.
Students will learn how to use a fire extinguisher, how to safely carry a victim, and light search & rescue. Attendance at all sessions is not required and this is a free class held at the North Aurora Police Department Community Room, 200 S. Lincolnway.
