INCIDENT: CVC 2800.2 - Felony Evading
LOCATION: Pinon Drive and Desert Knoll Avenue, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Jason Lamore, 36-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 26, 2022, at approximately 8:32 p.m., Deputy Kridner was patrolling the area of Pinion Drive and Desert Knoll in Twentynine Palms. Kridner observed a motorcycle failing to maintain a traffic lane and other vehicle code violations. Kridner attempted a traffic stop; however, the motorcycle failed to yield. The rider, later identified as Jason Lamore, led deputies on a pursuit through Twentynine Palms for several minutes. The pursuit ended when Lamore lost control of the motorcycle and crashed near Highway 62 and Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.
After paramedics treated Lamore at the scene, he was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palms Springs. A report regarding the incident will be submitted to the District Attorney's office for review.
Lamore was discovered to be on supervised probation (PRCS) for CVC 2800.2 - Felony Evading. As a result of California Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court decision requiring the state to lower its prison population by 30,000; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual, and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through County Probation.
