Residents of the City of Chelsea and patrons who may be traveling through this is a reminder that today Saturday, August 27th at 1:00 pm the Chelsea Fair Parade will be taking place and there is anticipated traffic congestion throughout the downtown area and some localized side streets that is expected to last until the conclusion of the parade at approximately 2:30 pm. Please use caution and watch for pedestrian traffic as well as members of this Department while they are out directing traffic.

The parade route begins at S. Main St. X E. Middle St. and continues down S. Main St. and turns West onto Old US 12 ending at the Chelsea Fairgrounds.

Participants will begin lining up no earlier than 10:00 am and will be directed to line up on the adjacent side streets directly East of Main Street. Traffic congestion is expected on the side streets as well, until the parade has concluded.
