Traffic Fatality 
On August 29, 2022, at about 4:20 P.M., the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the area of Lost Canyons Dr. and Copperstone Ln. regarding an injury traffic accident. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a single vehicle had lost control and collided with a light pole. Paramedics responded to the scene but, unfortunately, the driver sustained injures that proved to be fatal. The driver was identified as Brian Trejo, 42 years, of Simi Valley.
Upon further investigation, it appears that speed was a contributing factor to the accident. There were no indications of impairment and no other drivers or pedestrians were injured in the accident. The roadway was closed for several hours to conduct the investigation.
