Flood Advisory until 08:30PM Tuesday
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Medina, Real and Uvalde.
* WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Portions of the advisory area received 5 to 6 inches of rain this morning. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Medina, Bandera, Tarpley, Vanderpool, Utopia, Hill Country State Natural Area, Lost Maples State Natural Area, Concan, Lakehills and Lake Medina Shores. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
