IMPD is asking anyone who was in the 4400 block of North Washington Blvd or 4300 block of Pennsylvania Street yesterday morning to review their doorbell camera footage or any security camera they may have.

IMPD detectives are reviewing all documented criminal incidents of any type that have occurred within the area and assessing for any connection. IMPD will not be releasing any further information at this time out of respect to the victim.
Residents can expect to see increased patrols in that area over the next few weeks.

INDIANAPOLIS-On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, just before 6:30 am IMPD North District officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of N. Washington Blvd on a report of check the welfare. Officers arrived and located a 74-year-old female who sustained trauma. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded and transported the victim to an area hospital. The victim was later released.
During the course of the investigation information revealed the adult female had been assaulted by an unknown male. IMPD detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation.
Detectives are asking anyone who might have been in or near the 4400 block of Washington Blvd between 6:00 am to 6:30 am and saw suspicious persons in the area to please contact investigators.
